America as they gather on the slopes of Vail Mountain during the 2008 celebration of the
American Ski Classic presented by Korbel California Champagne, March 26-30. This
event combines the thrill of professional and amateur ski racing with an array of entertainment
options for fans of all ages. In its 26th year, the American Ski Classic is the oldest and largest
competition and festival of its kind in North America. In addition to racing action, the American
Ski Classic also features a festive social schedule, including the Mountains of Hope dinner and
auction which benefits the Vail Valley Foundation’s educational initiatives and the Legends of
Skiing Banquet.
 
With exciting racing action on the slopes, live entertainment and sumptuous dinner events off
the slopes, there is always something to do at the Ski Classic. All races are held at Golden
Peak in Vail and are family-friendly, rich with autograph opportunities, and free for spectators.
